In his remarks at the meeting on Friday to review the performance of the Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection, Vice Chairman Cuong highly appreciated the Association for promoting a sense of responsibility, making efforts, and actively participating in mobilising resources to take good care of children and disadvantaged people, thereby contributing to effectively implementing the city's social security goals.

He requested the Association and its chapters at all levels to follow the practical needs and living conditions of poor and disadvantaged households, people with disabilities, and children to have appropriate and effective support plans. The focus should be on diversifying forms of propaganda on the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws on charity, humanitarian work and protection of children's rights, he added.

At the same time, importance should be attached to maintaining and improving the effectiveness of social resource mobilisation; utilising available resources to help poor households, vulnerable groups, and children in difficult circumstances; and closely coordinating with functional agencies in monitoring and supervising the implementation of children's rights.
