Ceremonies held across Da Nang to see 1,444 young people off to military service
A combined total of 1,444 young men across Da Nang said farewell to their family members and friends on Thursday to join the compulsory military and police services for required terms.

Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh, along with the leaders of Ngu Hanh Son District, participated in the send-off ceremony in the locality.
This year, the district has 130 young people recruited for military and people's police services in the following units: Centre 386 - Command 86, the Da Nang Border Guard Command, the Naval Region 3 Command, the Da Nang Police, and Infantry Regiment 971 under the city’s Military Command.
Chairman of Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee Nguyen Hoa said that the military recruitment work was carefully organised, and most of the recruits had good physical strength and high qualifications.
He also acknowledged and commended the efforts of the units in the military recruitment work. He hoped that the young people will promote the spirit of youth, overcome difficulties, strive to study and train, and excellently complete the assigned tasks.

In Hai Chau District, Major General Le Ngoc Hai who is Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Zone 5 in charge of the Commander of the Military Zone 5; Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh; Head of the municipal Party Committee's Publicity, Education and Mass Mobilization Department Tran Thang Loi met, and presented flowers and gifts to new recruits.
Speaking at the new recruit handover ceremony, Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh wished the newly-recruited soldiers to well complete their assigned tasks, study hard and improve themselves during their military training period. At the same time, he requested local authorities to take care of families of recruits so that they can confidently perform their duties, as well as solve jobs for soldiers when they complete their duties and return to the locality.

Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang and Chairwoman of the municipal Women's Union Hoang Thi Thu Huong attended the send-off ceremony in Lien Chieu District.
The leaders of Lien Chieu District People's Committee believed that the 205 newly-recruited soldiers will promote their youthful spirit, overcome all difficulties, strive to excellently complete their tasks, and become excellent soldiers of the army and the People's Public Security.

In Thanh Khe District, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung, and member of the Standing Board of the municipal Party Committee Doan Ngoc Hung Anh, presented flowers and gifts to new recruits.
Chairman of Thanh Khe District People's Committee Ho Thuyen affirmed that joining military service was a sacred and noble duty. He also requested local authorities to regularly pay attention to families of the new recruits, especially those in difficult circumstances, so that they can feel secure in training and performing their duties. At the same time, he hoped that the units receiving soldiers will create all conditions for new recruits to quickly integrate and excellently complete all assigned tasks.

At the new recruit handover point of Hoa Vang District, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council Tran Phuoc Son and Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi attended and saw off the new recruits to join military service.
Chairman of Hoa Vang District People's Committee Phan Van Ton wished 241 newly-recruited soldiers to continue promoting the tradition of previous generations, as well as strive to study and excellently complete all assigned tasks.

Chairman of Cam Le District People's Committee Nguyen Quang Vinh praised 189 young men who strictly complied with the call-up order to ensure the required number of soldiers and time.
Over the years, thousands of young men across the district have registered for military service. Generations of young men have promoted patriotism and revolutionary heroism, and excellently completed all assigned tasks.
