The Da Nang Youth Union held a ceremony in the city on Friday evening to celebrate the 94^th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025), the 95^th founding anniversary of the Da Nang Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025), and the 50^th anniversary of the city's liberation (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025).

In attendance at the event were Standing Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Chairman of the People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang, and Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung.

During the event, generations of youth union members and young people together reviewed the tradition of the Youth Union and the glorious history of the Party Committee and the people of the city. The event was an opportunity for young people to look back at the achievements they have made, thereby continuing to promote their role and uphold their responsibility in the cause of building and developing an increasingly civilised and modern city.

Secretary of the Da Nang Youth Union Le Cong Hung said that the city's youth have the will to rise up and the spirit of solidarity. Also, they are always present in difficult and arduous places and have left many imprints with meaningful programmes and activities. Included are "Youth Month", "Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign", "Giving Strengths to the Exam Season", "For the Fatherland's Border", and "Building New-style Rural Areas - Civilized Urban Areas".

The 94^th founding anniversary of the Youth Union, the 95^th founding anniversary of the municipal Party Committee and the 50^th anniversary of the liberation of the city are important milestones for the Youth Union to continue to affirm its role as a close and trustworthy companion of the youth in all fields; and as the best environment for young people to practice, contribute and mature.

With the theme of 2025 "Da Nang Youth is proud and confident in following the direction of the Party", the municipal Youth Union calls on its members and young people citywide to uphold the spirit of pioneering, creativity and solidarity to effectively carry out the city’s socio-economic development tasks. In addition, the Youth Union and its chapters across the city will closely follow urgent and prominent issues in localities to voluntarily support the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 23^rd Da Nang Party Congress, and the 14^th National Party Congress.

On the occasion, 36 outstanding youth union members were honoured with "March 26 Award" in 2025 for their new and typical initiatives, models and solutions which were successfully applied to the Youth Union's movements.

Additionally, the municipal Youth Union launched the model "One historical film per month" to foster revolutionary ideals and national pride for the city's young generation.
