A ceremony was held in Da Nang on Monday to honour outstanding collectives and individuals with the "Dedication to Da Nang" Award on the occasion of the 95^th anniversary of the founding of the municipal Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025) and the 50^th anniversary of the liberation of the city (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025).

In attendance at the ceremony were Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Chairman of the People's Committee Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang, and Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung.

In 2024, a number of emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister were carried out effectively in the city. Included were the movements "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift and fighting wastefulness"; "The whole country joins hands to build new-style rural areas"; "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind"; "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to practice office culture"; "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025"; and a 500-day emulation campaign for completing 3000km of expressways.

The "Dedication to Da Nang" Award aims to express gratitude and honour domestic and foreign collectives and individuals who have made many contributions to Da Nang and Central Viet Nam as a whole in the fields of health, education and training, high-performance sports, and humanitarian charity.

On the occasion, two collectives and 15 individuals received the Labour Medals of the President in recognition of their great dedication to the city. The Labour Medals of the President were awarded to 15 individuals for their outstanding achievements and merits.

The Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit of the Prime Minister went to 6 collectives and 48 individuals. 14 individuals received the Glorious Youth Volunteer Medals.

Notably, the "Dedication to Da Nang" Awards were presented to 6 individuals, including 2 foreigners, in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions to the city in various fields.
