Son Tra District launches movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses
A ceremony was held on Wednesday to launch the programme on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Da Nang’s Son Tra District.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Secretary of the Son Tra District Party Committee cum Head of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the district Phung Phu Phong emphasised the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind" has brought many positive results, contributing to improving the lives of people in difficult circumstances. With the message "Millions of loving hearts - Thousands of happy homes", Son Tra District calls on the whole society to join hands to support the poor and near-poor households to have safe housing and stabilise their lives.

According to a survey in the district, 36 houses need to be rebuilt and 77 ones need to be repaired. To achieve the goal of completely eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before September 2025, the district will mobilise all resources from departments and agencies at all levels, businesses and philanthropists.
Right at the launching ceremony, the Steering Committee raised over VND 250 million from businesses, organisations and individuals to support the construction of houses for the poor in the locality.
