Speeding up the progress of projects
In 2025, Cam Le District will implement 81 projects with a total investment of more than VND 400 billion. Of which, there are five typical projects in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang and other political events of the year.
Among them is the project to expand, renovate and restore the Thai family temple relic in Hoa Phat Ward, Cam Le District. The more than VND 8.7 billion project will feature the restoration of the Thai Clan church, the tomb of patriot Thai Thi Boi, Nghi An village communal house, and the house with the statues of patriots Thai Phien and Thai Thi Boi, along with the construction of technical infrastructure and traffic systems.
These days, the construction unit is mobilising human resources and materials to complete the final items of the project.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung, Project Manager of the Huy Nhu Company Limited (the construction unit) said that "Every day, we arrange nearly 50 workers to work urgently to ensure progress, but still focus on quality and labour safety. The project started in late November 2024, and has now completed 85% of the volume. The company is determined to complete the project in March 2025 to mark the 50th anniversary of the city’s Liberation Day".
In addition, authorities in Cam Le District accelerate the construction of two other key projects to welcome party congresses at all levels. They are the Hoa Phat Ward Cultural - Sports Centre with the total investment of nearly VND 15 billion, and the inner-city traffic project at phase 2 connecting Le Trong Tan and Vu Lang at a total cost of VND 14 billion.
Mr. Ho Hai Nam, Head of the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects in Cam Le District, emphasised “We urge contractors to mobilise human resources, equipment, overtime, and shift work to ensure the progress of the projects, while strengthening supervision to ensure the quality of the works according to the set plan”.
In Hai Chau District, two typical projects selected to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels include the VND 28.6 billion Tuoi Tho Kindergarten project which started in December 2024 and is expected to be completed in November 2025, and the project to build the headquarters of the People's Committee and Military Command of Thuan Phuoc Ward at a total investment of over VND 28 billion.
Creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere
In Hoa Vang District, three key projects are being urgently completed in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the city's Liberation Day. These are the basically completed Go Quang - Hoa Phuoc - Hoa Khuong route, the Ta Lang - Gian Bi Community Cultural - Tourism Centre expected to be completed before April 30, 2025, and the project to build a new Hoa Bac Commune Administrative Centre scheduled to be completed before March 20, 2025.
Mr. Thai Van Hoai Nam, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Bac Commune, said that headquarters of the Hoa Bac Commune People's Committee has been invested in a modern, convenient and soon-to-be-used manner. This not only helps the commune's officials to carry out administrative procedures more easily and give them more motivation to serve better, but also creates convenience for people to come and do business.
"Previously, the headquarters of Hoa Bac Commune People’s Committee was built on a small, narrow plot of land, many items were degraded and cramped. Now the new headquarters is built on a spacious, modern plot of land, so people are very excited. In particular, this project was completed right on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the city’s Liberation Day," said Mr. Nam.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tan Phat, Head of the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects in Hoa Vang District, in addition to large district-level projects, the communes are also implementing many practical tasks such as urban beautification, launching a labor emulation movement, taking care of policy families and disadvantaged households. The highlight is the bell tower project of Hoa Ninh Martyrs Cemetery, with a total capital of nearly VND 800 million.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Tam, Chairman of Hoa Ninh Commune People's Committee shared: "The project not only demonstrates the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" but also educates the revolutionary tradition for the younger generation. We have mobilized VND 731.2 million and many other valuable artifacts to complete the project on schedule".
Along with key projects of districts, wards and communes in the city actively responded to the emulation movement to celebrate major holidays. Many meaningful projects and tasks have been registered, associated with the program of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas such as donating land for rural roads, intra-field canals, stadiums, etc.
