Youth Month 2025 is an opportunity for the young generation to demonstrate their spirit of volunteerism and dedication to the community, thereby contributing to beautifying the image of enthusiastic and responsible Da Nang youth in the construction and development of the city.

During Youth Month 2025, the Da Nang Youth Union and its chapters across the city carried out many meaningful activities, contributing to beautifying the image of enthusiastic and responsible youth for the community.

In response to the programme "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister and the city, youth union organisations citywide have promoted their spirit of volunteerism and mobilised social resources to support the construction of houses for extremely disadvantaged households.

For example, the family of Mr. Pham Van Le in Hoa Quy Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, has just received support of VND 30 million in cash and 90 working days from the Youth Union organisation in the district to repair his downgraded house.

Similarly, the Youth Union organisation in Thanh Khe District has already supported the family of Mr. Luong Van Dat in Thac Gian Ward with VND 30 million in cash and 50 working days to repair the house. The funding for this project was contributed by local youth union members through fundraising through volunteer activities such as collecting waste and raising piggy banks.

During March - Youth Month, the Da Nang Youth Union and its chapters at all levels supported the elimination of 15 temporary and dilapidated houses for people, youth union members and children in difficult circumstances. In particular, the municipal Youth Union gave a helping hand for the construction of 4 new houses; 7 district-level youth unions 7 new houses; the youth union organisations at universities and colleges 2 new houses; and the armed forces and civil servants 2 houses.

In addition to financial support, the city's youth contributed hundreds of working days in a determined effort to remove makeshift, unstable roofs, helping people settle down and make a living.

Identifying the youth start-up and career movement as one of the key tasks, in recent times, the Youth Union organisation in Chinh Gian Ward, Thanh Khe District, has carried out many practical activities to help young people start their own businesses. Thanks to these activities, many local youth have achieved many positive results.

Since the beginning of the year, the ward-level Youth Union organisation has proactively grasped the situation and learned about the circumstances of each young person.

Knowing the case of Le Quoc Khai in residential group No. 22 who needed to borrow capital to expand his hair salon, but was facing economic difficulties, the ward-level Youth Union organsation coordinated with the Thanh Khe District branch of the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies to support Khai with a loan of VND 50 million.

“For a long time, I have cherished the dream of expanding my business and investing in more equipment, but due to financial difficulties, I have not been able to do so. Thanks to the support from the ward-level Youth Union organisation, I have had the opportunity to borrow capital to develop my hair salon. This is truly a great source of motivation to help me overcome difficulties, improve my life and expand my business” Mr. Khai said.

Meanwhile, the Youth Union organisation in Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District, actively implemented the campaign “For a peaceful school gate”.

In the early morning and late afternoon, youth union members and young people in the ward were present at the Ngo May Primary School, Bach Yen Kindergarten and Phan Boi Chau Junior High School to support parents in picking up and dropping off their children at the right place, without encroaching on roads or sidewalks, thereby contributing to ensuring traffic safety at the school gate area.

Recently, Tran Thanh Tai, a student of grade 1/6 at the Ngo May Primary School, received a gift called “Loving Learning Corner” worth VND 2.5 million from the Youth Union organisation in Phuoc My Ward. This meaningful gift not only helps him have enough learning tools but also motivates and makes him more excited and interested in the learning process.

Secretary of the Youth Union organisation in Phuoc My Ward Pham Thi Thuy Quyen said that during Youth Month 2025, the ward Youth Union will promote social security activities with focus on taking care of the lives of people in difficult circumstances.

In addition, a number of cultural and sports exchange activitiess, the model of "People's Market to reduce plastic waste", and the contest "Youth Beauty" were organised in the ward. These activities not only affirmed the pioneering role of young people in the community but also contributed to building a united, loving and sharing society.

According to Secretary of the Da Nang Youth Union Le Cong Hung, the activities of Youth Month 2025 are a practical and vivid environment for each member and young person to express their patriotism, practice and mature through specific and practical actions. This, thereby, contributes to strengthening solidarity among young people, and improving the quality of union and association organisations. In the coming time, the municipal Youth Union will continue to launch and widely implement patriotic emulation campaigns and movements, aimed at arousing the spirit of initiative and creativity among youth union members and young people.
