Western fare in the city
In recent years, Da Nang has witnessed an increase in the number of coffee shops, bars and restaurants which serve western dishes. They have emerged as fascinating destinations for both local residents and visitors.
Located on the corner of Bach Dang and Thai Phien streets, the Bamboo2 Bar is very popular, especially with foreigners. The owner of the bar, Mrs Nguyen Thi Diem, said that her bar was opened 8 years ago and was the first bar in the city to serve western food and beverages. Thanks to its favourable position, the bar usually attracts around 200 customers at peak times.

Apart from the delicious dishes which showcase the quintessence of western culinary art, the bar serves a wide range of wines imported from Australia, Austria, Chile, France, the UK and other countries around the world. A glass of wine is now priced at between 25,000 and 100,000 VND.
Le Bambino Restaurant, situated at 112/11 Quang Trung Street, offers customers popular French dishes ranging from 80,000 to 200,000 VND each. In addition, they will be impressed by the French-style architecture and ambience.
Da Nang currently has around 20 restaurants, coffee shops, and bars which offer western dishes and drinks. They include the Nha Leo Café in Son Tra District, the Seventeen Saloon Bar at Z76 Tran Hung Dao Street, and the Luna Pub at 9A Tran Phu.
The above-mentioned establishments have helped to diversify the cultural life of the city as well as reflect the developing trends in the exchange of cultures. In addition, they have helped to make Da Nang an attractive tourist destination for visitors from home and abroad.
