Local café reminiscent of subsidy period
Located in alley 30/14 on tourist-packed Bach Dang, Hai Chau District, Da Nang, the ‘Tiem Nuoc Bao Cap’ (Coffee Shop of Subsidy Period) is very inviting to locals and visitors thanks to its cozy, familial ambience, and very simple décor.

Interestingly, guests may feel as if they were back to the subsidy period in Viet Nam inside a typical house dating back from the 1980s rather than a café.
On entering this venue, visitors will be impressed by the simple architectural retro-style with old walls, old-fashioned window frames, and lovely ornamental plants giving guests a comfortable, and close-to-nature feeling. Yellow daisies are planted outside add brightness, but retains simplicity.
A few tables and chairs are arranged in the alley for customers to sit and chat at leisure, reflecting how life has changed from “those days.”
