Xuyen Chi – ideal place for coffee and 'Ao dai' lovers
If you want to visit a place where you can both sip tasty drinks, and try on and buy clothes, the Xuyen Chi coffee shop at 26 Le Quy Don in Da Nang’s Hai Chau District may be an excellent choice for you.
The 2-storey venue boasts a simple architectural style with the main colour of dark brown to bring cozy and familiar feelings to its customers. In addition, it is covered with colourful flower trellis and green ornamental trees.
However, drawing much attention from customers is to be various collections of ‘Ao dai’ (Viet Nam’s traditional long dress), T-shirts, dresses, and trousers. All fashionable items displayed there are designed and made by its owner Nguyen Thi Bao Quyen (Quyen Designer).
Ms Quyen said that her clothes feature various different designs, which gives her customers a wide selection.
“Amongst them, renovated ‘Ao dais’ leave a deep impression on guests thanks to their modern and eye-catching designs. ‘Ao dais’ are renovated in harmony with the national cultural characters and modern fashion styles, creating an unique beauty for the national female dress”, Quyen remarked.
The shop’s owner added there are a wide range of materials to tailor ‘Ao dais’ such as silk, voile and lace, however, linen is always her most favorable choice. Most of the items displayed in the shop are made of linen with hand-drawn or hand embroidered patterns on them. The main reason given by her is that only linen can exude the elegant and luxury beauty of the clothes.
Just spending only between 15,000 and 35,000 VND on drinks, ladies can comfortably try on numerous designs of ‘Ao dai’ (Viet Nam’s traditional long dress), T-shirts, dresses and trousers.
If visitors decide to buy their favourite items, they do not have to pay money for their ordered drinks.
