The Blueprint for a Greener Restroom
Da Nang is considered the center of sustainable development in Viet Nam. And yet, when people talk about environment protection, water preservation and sustainable development, they overlook the fact that the easiest and quickest way to preserve water and save energy is through public sanitary ware renovation.
EVERY YEAR ONE URINAL SAVES 40,000 GALLONS OF WATER |
Waterfree urinals, provided by Vietnam Caesar Sanitary Ware Company, is an obvious solution to the crisis of water scarcity. The technology of waterfree urinals is supported by US -based company Falcon Waterfree Technologies. The company has sold waterfree urinals to a great number of famous projects including One Bryant Park of Bank of America, Hollywood Bowl, Staples Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Taj Mahal. The Waterfree technology uses a patented cartridge to provide an airtight barrier between urine and the restroom which gives restrooms an odor-free and hygienic operation. Using water to dispose of urine in an old fashion way makes no economic sense, particularly as the supply of available fresh water decreases and water costs increases. Every waterfree urinal installed can save up to 40,000 gallons (151,000 litters) per year with reduced operating and maintenance costs. And above all, it just looks better.
Da Nang has long been considered the most beautiful city in Viet Nam. The government and public are aware of the urgency to better protect Da Nang’s natural assets. If they are willing to adapt this new waterfree approach to further facilitate the progress of sustainable development, Da Nang will without question, become not only the most beautiful city in Viet Nam, but also one of the greenest cities in the world.
