International Industrial Fair 2017

As part of a series of activities to celebrate the forthcoming APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in Da Nang, this fair aims to create closer economic links between Da Nang and the other APEC member countries.

The 7-day event provides an opportunity for participating businesses to share their valuable experiences, as well as access the advanced scientific and technological achievements in Viet Nam, and the world as a whole.

Kite Festival 2017

Entitled ‘Flying up Dreams’, the event will attract kite clubs from Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.  During the 2 days, there will be numerous exciting activities including kite flying demonstrations, a kite decoration contest for children, Rokkaku kite battles, and some folk games.

‘Five Elements Food Space’ programme

This magnificent culinary space, with 5 open kitchens representing the 5 elements of ancient oriental philosophy, will offer up to 500 national and international dishes in total.  Throughout the programme, there will be arts performances, cooking classes, and exciting eating minigames.  The show will be hosted by Pham Tuan Hai who is a culinary expert, a passionate chef, and a Masterchef Viet Nam judge.  Also, visitors will get the opportunity to meet with international chefs to gain an insight into delicious dishes from their countries, and to join in cooking contests.

‘Charming Da Nang’ musical programme

This 60-minute programme opens with a stage presentation highlighting the city’s most impressive sites such as the Da Nang International Airport, the Han River and the tall buildings.  It is followed by delightful performances of singing, dancing and traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, each of them showcasing the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.  Interestingly, there is a song named ‘Charming Da Nang’ which was written specifically for this programme.
