Spectacular fireworks shows to welcome in the Lunar New Year 2018
At midnight on Lunar New Year’s Eve, which will fall on Friday, 16 February
The 15-minute-long fireworks shows will take place at Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, the Kim Long Nam
Project’s vacant land area in front of the Lien Chieu District Administration Centre, and a vacant land area in front of the Hoa Vang District Administration Centre.
A cultural event entitled ‘Picking the First Buds in the New Year’
Visitors to the event will be also treated to wonderful lion dances performed by local professional groups.

A large number of Vietnamese documentary films about the nation's history and its traditional patriotism will be screened.

Folk painting exhibition
On display at the exhibition will be a total of 62 nice paintings from the Viet Nam Fine Arts Museum.
Imbued with the Vietnamese cultural identity, these fines works are sourced from such popular Vietnamese folk painting villages as Dong Ho in Bac Ninh Province, Hang Trong and Kim Hoang in Ha Noi, and Vu Di in Vinh Phuc Province.

A display of 150 original antiquities and photos of Oc Eo Culture
Oc Eo is the name of an archaeological site in Thoai Son District in An Giang Province in the Mekong River Delta. Based on the artifacts unearthed, archaeologists said that the area used to be a busy port of the kingdom of Phu Nam between the 1st and 7th centuries. They used the term ‘Oc Eo Culture’ to refer to the ancient material culture of the Mekong Delta region.

This 60-minute programme opens with a stage presentation highlighting the city’s most impressive sites such as the Da Nang International Airport, the Han River and the tall buildings. It is followed by delightful performances of singing, dancing and traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, each of them showcasing the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole. Interestingly, there is a song named ‘Charming Da Nang’ which was written specifically for this programme.
