Owned by young Japanese person, the restaurant aims to provide health conscious meals made with plants, plus fresh and locally-farmed produce.

The Japanese owner expressed his belief that a balanced diet of vegetables and fruits can change people’s life.

Dinners will be impressed with healthy vegetarian collection of colourful and nourishing meals. The dishes there are beautifully decorated, and like pieces of arts works.

All most of dishes here are made from healthy spices such as fresh turmeric, ginger, and spirulina.

A restaurant staff member revealed curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. Combining turmeric with black pepper helps body absorb more curcumin, thereby bringing the maximum health benefit to diners. Meanwhile, gingerol is the main bioactive compound in ginger, responsible for much of its medicinal properties. It has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

In addition, pure juice made from organic farm products has won the trust of the customers. Most noticeable is Kombucha (also tea mushroom, Manchurian mushroom), which is a variety of fermented, lightly effervescent sweetened black or green tea drinks commonly intended as functional beverages for their supposed health benefits.  Kombucha is produced by fermenting tea using a “symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast”.

Interestingly, foods and drinks on offer at the Roots Plant-Based Café are served with many accompanying products, bamboo straws and recycled paper napkins for instance, which are wholly natural, environmentally friendly and recyclable.

Coming to the vegan restaurant, you will have the opportunity to join in the Precious Plastic Da Nang where gathers people actively working towards to plastic pollution in Viet Nam. They organise beach cleanups twice a month. You will get 20% off Roots’ voucher by joining the beach cleanup event.
