The Tuy Loan Rural Market located in Hoa Phong Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang now has dramatic new look with a more spacious and comfortable trading place for nearly 400 retailers after undergoing an around 1.6 billion VND renovation.

The focus was on restoring outer facade of shops, putting-up uniform shop signboards, improving flooring, revamping lighting and making other necessary changes to give an orderly look to the building exterior instead of the haphazard arrangement.

The Tuy Loan Market still retains the rustic features of a Vietnamese rural area after renovations. Market-goers will find it very easy to buy locally-made products, including Tuy Loan rice papers, ‘Banh duc’ (plain rice flan) and ‘Banh it nhan dua’ (steamed sticky rice cake with coconut filling) which help them recall their childhood.

The Tuy Loan Market is one of the largest and most bustling traditional markets in Hoa Vang District.

In the past, the bustling trading ambience was seen at this rural traditional market. It had many stalls offering a wide range of goods, especially locally-made products such as Tuy Loan rice papers and noodles, and Cam Ne mats.

Also on sale at this market were numerous products sourced from neighbouring localities. Included were fish sauce, mussels, vegetables, corn, chickens, and pigs from such Quang Nam Province’s localities as Hoi An City, and Ai Nghia and Dien Ban towns, along seafood from Da Nang.
