Accordingly, DIFF 2023, organised by the Da Nang People's Committee and Sun Group at the fireworks stage on the bank of the Han River, will feature the participation of 8 teams, comprising the Vietnamese team from Da Nang and 7 international teams, namely, the UK, Italy, Poland, France, Australia, Canada and Finland.

The opening night of DIFF 2023 is expected to take place on the evening of June 3, with the performances by the Viet Nam and Finland teams. The following nights will see competitions between others: Canada - France (June 10); Australia - Italy (June 17); Poland - the UK (June 24). The final night will take place on the evening of July 8.

This year's DIFF has the theme ‘World without distance’, honouring the strong recovery of world tourism after COVID-19. With brilliant fireworks and many exciting events throughout the city’s corners during DIFF 2023, Da Nang will be the convergence of global connectivity, igniting the vitality and solidarity of the five continents to overcome difficulties and challenges after the pandemic.

Similar to previous DIFF periods, each team will have a 20 - minute firework display variously themed ‘love without distance’, ‘peace for the world’, ‘equality for humanity’, ‘unlimited creativity’ and ‘sustainable tourism development’.

During DIFF 2023, there will be a series of companion events to enhance the experience for visitors to Da Nang. On this occasion, famous tourist attractions in Da Nang such as Sun World Ba Na Hills and Asia Park will organise many festivals, music and art events that are especially attractive to visitors when they come to the city of Han River.

At DIFF 2023, Sun Group will continue to be an enterprise accompanying the Da Nang People's Committee in organising the festival as well as a series of sideline events. With the mission of ‘Beautifying the lands’, Sun Group has also initiated the ‘WOW Viet Nam’ campaign to accompany Viet Nam's tourism, honouring attractive destinations across the country, and at the same time, promoting Viet Nam tourism to the world. DIFF 2023 is the focus of the campaign, in the series of activities "WOW Da Nang".

It is known that DIFF 2019, with a total budget of nearly VND150 billion fully sponsored by Sun Group, created a ‘Da Nnang tourism fever’ both at home and abroad, helping attract nearly 1 million visitors to the city for more than one month of the fireworks festival.

This year's festival is the 11th DIFF to have been held in Da Nang. DIFF has become a highlight event, developing the city into the centre of festivals every summer. This is also one of the cultural events that create its own brand for Da Nang, thereby helping it be twice honoured as ‘Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination’, creating Da Nang’ image as a  dynamic city of festivals that always welcomes visitors throughout the four seasons.
