Experience clay pot rice
Despite serving popular dishes, the Nhu Y Restaurant, located at 373 Ong Ich Khiem Street in Da Nang leaves an impression on diners when most of the dishes are cooked directly in clay pots. This is not only a highlight in presentation of food but also the secret to keeping the dishes hot and delicious.

The cooking process in clay pots requires meticulousness from choosing ingredients to seasonings. According to the owner of the restaurant, clay pots have the ability to retain heat, helping food cook evenly, and giving off a characteristic aroma.
Aside from familiar dishes such as sweet and sour ribs, braised fish and ribs, and braised chicken with lemongrass, the restaurant also has tomato dishes stuffed with meat, braised pork, and stir-fried tail with turmeric. All dishes here are arranged in clay pots, bringing a feeling of closeness, authenticity but also very unique.
The clay pots are small in size, just enough for an individual portion. This allows everyone to "share" but comfortably use "individual dishes" according to their preferences.
Many guests shared that they felt excited when they ate by this special way for the first time. The moment they opened the lid of the pot, letting the billowing smoke rise with a fragrant aroma made everyone excited.
“I like the braised fish with ginger the most. The fish is flavourful and soft, and the aroma of ginger and fish sauce reminds me of the meal my mother cooked in the countryside. Eating in a clay pot like this both keeps the heat and creates a familiar feeling like at home” shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, residing in Hai Chau 1 Ward, Hai Chau District, who is a regular customer of the restaurant.
With a price of VND 35,000 - VND 50,000 for a meal, the Nhu Y restaurant has become a favourite destination for office workers, students and those who want to find a bit of nostalgia in the midst of modern life.
Notably, in addition to the food prepared in clay pots, the restaurant also serves soup, boiled and stir-fried vegetables, fried eggs, pickled onions and vegetables. All are carefully prepared to create a balance of taste and texture in every meal.
