The event features both fossils and dinosaur remains found in Thailand and specimens of new discoveries from elsewhere in the world. Highlights include the Phuwiangosaurus, the Metriacanthosauridae or Siam Tyrannosaurus and the Kinnareemimus. Activities include Fossil Discovery, a Dinosaur Parade and the Walk Dinosaur showcase.

This year’s edition of the festival is also aimed at honoring the nation’s monarchy and presents an exhibition on royal works.

World of Geology for Tourism Festival at Chiang Mai is running alongside geological exhibitions in seven other museums across the country from now until 24 October.
