Naval officers pay pre-Tet visits to city leaders

Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia, on Monday, warmly received a group of representatives from the crew of submarine HQ-186 Da Nang and the Khanh Hoa Province-based Submarine Brigade 189 under the Vietnamese Navy, led by its Commander, Colonel Hoang Luong Ngoc.

Colonel Ngoc thanked the city authorities for their kind concern and great support for the crew members of HQ-186 Da Nang, and the officers and men of the Submarine Brigade 189, thereby facilitating them to fulfill their assigned tasks.  

Secretary Nghia believed that the naval officers and men would continue securing their firm political stance, and strictly maintaining combat readiness to firmly safeguard the sacred national sovereignty. 
The city’s top leader also took the opportunity to wish the naval soldiers and their families a happy and warm Tet.

On the same day, the naval officers visited and presented Tet gifts to the families of martyrs who laid down their lives in the Gac Ma Island battle against the Chinese in the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago on 14 March 1988.

Also on Monday, Secretary Nghia visited and extended his Tet wishes to the families of the late municipal Party Committee (PaC) Secretary Nguyen Ba Thanh, former Secretary of the Quang Da Special Zone’s PaC Tran Than, and former municipal PaC Secretary Tran Tho.

During his visits to them, Secretary Nghia highly hailed the former city leaders for their great devotion towards the city’s progress. 

He also said he would like their family members to follow their bright examples to make joint efforts with other residents to make the city more prosperous in the coming years. 

In similar vein,the city Party chief paid pre-Tet visits to the authorities and people of Hoa Bac Commune, and the Bau Bang Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Hoa Vang District.

To mark this occasion, the city leader presented Tet gifts to 10 social policy families in the suburb Hoa Bac commune.
