Specifically, the Party Committee, government and people of the city proactively coordinated with central agencies to promptly promulgate 12 thematic programmes and plans to concretise the resolution with 525 tasks. To date, 113 tasks have been already completed (accounting for 21.5%), and 390 tasks are being carried out (accounting for 74, 3%).

The city worked with central agencies to submit to competent authorities for consideration and promulgation of guidelines, mechanisms, policies and planning such as Resolution No. 119/2020/QH14 dated June 19, 2020 on piloting the urban government model and a number of specific political mechanisms to develop Da Nang; Decision No. 359/QD-TTg dated March 15, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the “Adjustments to the Da Nang Master Plan for its major developments by 2030, with a vision towards 2045”; and Decision No. 1287/QD-TTg dated November 2, 2023, issued by the Prime Minister, approving the Urban Planning of Da Nang for the period 2021-2030 with a vision towards 2050.

At the same time, the city also closely followed the Politburo’s Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated November 3, 2022 on orientations for socio-economic development and national defence and security in the north-central and central coastal regions by 2030 with a vision towards 2045 with many important directions.

In particular, the focus was on building Da Nang into an international financial center on a regional scale; developing the marine economy, airports associated with logistics services and a regional international financial center; turning Da Nang into the nucleus of a specialised medical center, and a center of culture, arts, scientific research and human resource training; and making the University of Da Nang become a National University.

Recently, the city laid an emphasis on training human resources in the fields of microchips, semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

The city's economic structure shifted towards modernity with the service sector accounting for more than 70% of its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP).

The city continuously achieved many important results in applying information technology, digital transformation, and building a smart city. The local defence and security were maintained, whilst people's lives were improved with many new humane policies.
