On Wednesday, a wooden-hulled fishing boat was launched by the Bao Duy Oil Spill Response and Marine Service Joint Stock Company in Da Nang.  The 2.7 billion VND, 813 hp boat, number DNa 90612 is 19m-long, 5.5m-wide and 3.1m-high.  It is owned by 37-year-old Dong Minh Vuong from Ngu Hanh Son District’s My An Ward. 

Apart from the building cost, the family of Mr Vuong borrowed 1.5 billion VND to buy fishing gear and equipment.  Mr Vuong said that he was now preparing for his first fishing trip into the Hoang Sa (Paracel) waters in a few days’ time.
