25 billion VND for lighting and landscaping at Hue T-junction overpass
The Da Nang People’s Committee recently approved the spending of 25 billion VND on lighting systems and landscaping at the city’s Hue T-junction overpass. The amount will come from the city’s budget and the work is scheduled to completed by 29 March 2015.
Colour-changing LED (light-emitting diode) lights will be installed around the overpass’s roundabouts and on its main concrete tower and suspension cables. The lights will help to give good visibility for traffic users and create an impressive lighting effect at night.
As for the overpass’s landscaping, “Cay Cau Vua” (Roystonea regia) and “Cay Bui Chuoi Ngoc” (Duranta repens) trees will be grown along the lane dividers between Ton Duc Thang and Truong Chinh streets. In addition, “Cay Giang Huong” (Pterocarpus macrocarpus) trees will be planted along the dividers linking Ton Duc Thang with a section of the north-west traffic axis No 1. “Co La Gung” (Axonopus compressus) grass, which is often used as a permanent pasture full of vitality, will be grown along the dividers under the piers of the main tower.
The areas surrounding the roundabouts will be decorated with ornamental trees and colourful flowers, including “Hoa Chu Dinh Lan” (Spathoglottis plicata) and “Hoa Quynh Anh (Allamanda schottii), whilst the pavement will be block tiled.
