During his meeting on Wednesday with the Representative Board of the city's branch of the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP), the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Vo Duy Khuong, praised the Board for its great efforts in fulfilling its assigned tasks over the past 9 months.

VBSP’s Representative Board has made every effort to effectively implement government resolutions relating to loan support programmes, and to increase their monitoring of the performance of those involved in deposits and giving loans.  In addition, 81 training courses have been provided for 3,736 people.

Vice Chairman Khuong remarked, however, that the bank’s bad and overdue debt ratio was still too high.  He therefore asked the Representative Board to do its utmost to reduce the bank’s bad and overdue debt ratio to below 0.5% and 0.3% respectively over the remaining months of this year.
