ADB pledges to help implementation of start-up projects

DA NANG Today
Published: March 10, 2016

On Wednesday, a workshop took place in Da Nang to share the mutual experiences of the city and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) when supporting start-up businesses and their innovation.  The event was jointly organised by ADB and the city’s Coordination Council for Business Start-up Network (Coordination Council).

Experts from ADB attended the event, along with representatives from local relevant agencies.  Their discussions focussed on the current situation of the city’s start-up businesses, and its support policies for the local business community in the years ahead.

At the event, ADB pledged to assist Da Nang to implement 3 of its start-up projects.  These are a project to evaluate the current situation of start-up businesses, another to issue support policies for local start-up enterprises and the business community, and the last is to create plans for supporting the city’s small and medium-sized enterprises over the 2016 - 2020 period.
