The Head of the Park Authority, Mr Phung Tan Viet, briefed his guests on the latest information about preferential policies for businesses operating in the park, and its development strategies for the future.
Mr Viet remarked that the 1st stage of the park project has already been completed. By 2020, the deployment of the remainder of the project, covering a total area of over 800 ha, is expected to be completed. The project features dedicated areas for production and scientific research activities, hi-tech services, and hi-end accommodation for scientific experts, plus other facilities.
To date, the park has attracted 6 projects with a total investment capital of nearly 180 million USD. Two of them are invested by Japanese businesses, whilst the remainder are domestic.
A representative from the visiting delegation affirmed that, over recent years, many Thai investors have shown a keen interest in Da Nang’s investment environment because this seaside city is the Pacific gateway for the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) which connects with Myanmar, Thailand and Laos.
The Thai visitors also said that they hope that the bilateral cooperation and mutual investment promotion programmes with Da Nang would be bolstered in the years ahead.
