The fair features over 400 stands of 150 businesses from cities and provinces nationwide. During the 6-day event, the participating businesses are showcasing numerous Vietnamese products including food, drinks, fashionable clothes, textiles and garments, handicrafts, footwear, electronic items, and household appliances.
In addition, there is an exhibition of products meeting the requirements for international integration, and also a display of organic agricultural products sourced from such localities as Ca Mau, Lao Cai, Ninh Thuan, Dong Thap, Ben Tre and Tra Vinh.
Visitors to the event can participate in some exciting entertainment programmes, including a surprise bus, a cooking contest, a similarly priced golden hour, and an auction game.
Speaking at the fair’s opening ceremony on Tuesday, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh highlighted the significance of the event over the past 20 years for bringing Vietnamese products to rural areas, and promoting the city’s implementation of the ‘Vietnamese People Give Priority to Using Vietnamese Goods’ campaign. He took the opportunity to ask local residents to support Vietnamese businesses by purchasing high-quality Vietnamese products at reasonable prices.
