The event was part of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park (DHTP) Management Board’s investment promotion activities in Europe.

At the seminar, Director General of the Board Phung Tan Viet introduced the participants to the Park’s construction process and its development plans.

Participating businesses were also briefed on Da Nang’s preferential policies and projects which need investment in the DHTP.

Covering a total area of more than 1,100ha, the DHTP is one of Viet Nam’s 3 hi-tech parks which help to connect industrial and economic zones in the key economic region in Viet Nam.

The park welcomes domestic and foreign investors, Mr Viet added.

Mr Michel Jonqueres, President of the MEDEF’s International Commission, said that clear administrative procedures of the DHTP, and those of Da Nang as a whole, are attractive to foreign investors.

He also expressed optimism about the two sides’ cooperation opportunities, especially as Da Nang will host the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week 2017 in November.   The forthcoming event is expected to attract leaders of 21 APEC economies, and thousands of official delegates and heads of the world’s leading enterprises.

At present, the DHTP has more than 300ha of land available for investors. In the first half of this year, it attracted a total of 7 projects worth 158 million USD.
