Accelerating construction progress of key projects
In recent days after the freshly-concluded Tet Festival break, a bustling working atmosphere has been seen at the construction sites of Da Nang’s key projects as workers has gone back to work. They are now busy accelerating the construction progress in a quickly fashion.

The construction of the fully-equipped Multi-functional Division of the Da Nang Rehabilitation Centre, on the corner of Tran Van Tra, Tran Le and Ha Duy Phien streets in Cam Le District’s Hoa Xuan Ward, is now being kept on track.
The 234.5 billion VND project features technical rooms, work places for staff, a high-level disinfectant laundry area, a parking area for the vehicles of the staff and visitors, liquid waste treatment and garbage classification areas, and a pumping station.
Mr Nguyen Tuan Son, the Head of the Management Board of Da Nang Infrastructure Construction and Urban Development Projects, said construction units are striving to ensure the high quality and aesthetics of the work.
The project is expected to be put into use by February 2019.
In a similar vein, the Management Board for the city’s Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects is also attaching importance to upgrading the rainwater drainage systems, as part of the ongoing large-scale Da Nang Sustainable Development Project.
The focus is being on installing larger-diameter drainage pipes along some coastal streets, dredging the thick sludge out of the lake at the 29 March Park, and upgrading the existing drainage systems at some severe flooding points.
Work is scheduled to start on the 8.92km-long DH2 street by the end of the 1st quarter of this year.
The road will be parallel to the bypass on the northern side of the Da Nang- Quang Ngai Express project.
Notable amongst local traffic infrastructure improvement projects are the construction of bridges spanning the Co Co River connecting Da Nang with Hoi An, and a 39 km ring road on the western side of the city which connects the 14B Highway with Ho Chi Minh street in Hoa Vang District.
Construction units are now ready to embark on these projects between late this year and early 2019.
The total costs of the 2 major projects are 1,370 billion VND which are borrowed from the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), the development finance institution established by the Member States of OPEC in 1976 as a channel of aid to the developing countries.
With regard to the Da Nang Athlete Training Centre project, 50% of the construction work has been completed to date. The project is expected to be put into operation by late this year.

Currently, a disciplined working atmosphere is seen at the construction site of the 526 billion VND Tuyen Son – Tuy Loan riverside route which runs through the districts of Cam Le and Hoa Vang. Only 11% of the construction work has been completed to date.
The construction units are accelerating the progress of their works to complete the remaining items whilst ensuring the high quality and aesthetics of the project.
The road is scheduled to be opened to traffic by June 2019.
Likewise, workers have been very eager to resume their work at the construction site of the Tan Minh residence area, as part of a series of dedicated technical infrastructure development projects at the city’s Hi-tech Park.
Businesses involved in developing the infrastructure at this venue are the Kcon Construction Investment Corporation, Trung Nam JSC and Phu Thanh Hung company, all headquartered in Da Nang, the Ha Noi-based SEEN Technologies Corporation, and the Ha Nam Province-based Thang long Construction company.
