The night market features a total of 160 stalls selling souvenirs, food and drinks, specialities, dried seafood, fashionable clothes, and others.

In addition to such local specialities as Quang noodles and ‘banh trang cuon thit heo’ (belly pork and vegetables wrapped in soft rice paper), food and drinks stalls are offering many foreign specialities like tokbokki (South Korea), and sushi and rice flour pancakes (Japan).

Apart from enjoying delicious dishes, gourmets also have the opportunity to watch amazing performances by local chefs.

Ms Tran Thi Phuc, an owner of a food and drinks stall at the market, said her stall was always crowded with visitors every night, especially on the weekends. Some Korean women who are working and living in the city are her regular guests.

Ms Le Ngoc Thuy, an owner of the My My souvenir stall, remarked recent days have seen an increasing number of visitors to the market, especially Chinese and Korean nationals. She revealed that her best sellers were stone and wooden bracelets, handbags, and pictures featuring the beauty of the city's landscapes.

Mr Do Ngoc Thi Ca, Director of the DHTC Da Nang Company which is the managing agency of the night market, noted under the support of the municipal Department of Tourism, his company has cooperated with as many as 40 travel firms and tourism companies to advertise the market as one of the city’s popular attractions.

He added focus has been on asking traders operating in the night market to carefully check the origin and quality of their products, and sell them at their displayed prices.

“In attempt to enhance the quality of services at the market, my company will organise an English course for traders here in late September in order to teach them some basic English communication skills. In addition, advertisement activities will be promoted on the market’s Facebook page”, Mr Ca remarked.

Ms Tran Thi Thanh Tam, Chairwoman of the Son Tra District People’s Committee, remarked that the opening of the Son Tra Night Market aimed to create an inviting tourist and shopping venue in the heart of the city to visitors, allowing them to comfortably shop, enjoy entertainment services, and explore local culture. Therefore, greater efforts are being made to develop it into a must-visit destination for visitors at home and abroad.
