This direction was made by municipal Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia during his Wednesday inspection visits to the construction site of 5 beach walkways in the district in order to allow public access to beaches easily.

The coastal path is scheduled to stretch from a footpath at the end of coastal Ho Xuan Huong Street to another one at a site between the Furama Resort Danang and the Ariyana Danang Tourism Complex. Of note, beach services will be added to this project to serve the public.

The intention is to facilitate locals and visitors to cycle, as well as to take leisurely strolls to enjoy the fresh air, or to explore the beauty of beaches. This, in turn, will help to create a dynamic area providing tourism services in the city.

To date, the creation of a footpath between the Furama Resort Danang and the Ariyana Danang Tourism Complex, which started in mid-October, has already completed.

The 3m-wide footpath was created at an estimated cost of 2.172 billion VND funded by the city budget. It was paved with cubic stones in order to ensure the synchronicity with the existing walkway at the Ariyana Danang Tourism Complex.

The creation of a 5.7m-wide beach walkway at the end of coastal Ho Xuan Huong Street, with the pavements of 7m and 2.3m in width respectively, is now underway.

6,680m2 of land at the Sunrise project site has been taken back to create this project which is estimated to cost about 1.55 billion VND from the city budget. Focus is being on paving this footpath with cubic and sandstones, and planting coconut trees, Japanese grass and others.

The work is scheduled to be completed no later than 31 December.

Secretary Nghia also asked relevant agencies to consider adding beach services to the 2 above-mentioned footpath projects, and conduct boundary demarcation between these walkways and the resorts.

Meanwhile, work has yet to start on the creation of 3 other public walkways leading to beaches.

In detail, a footpath at the Future Property Invest tourism area project in Hoa Hai Ward is expected to be created at a cost of 3.27 billion VND.

Under the detailed plan, this project will feature the 4m-wide road surface, along with ornamental trees along the footpath, power supply and automatic watering systems, and stairs leading to sandy area.

The municipal People’s Committee has given the green light to grant more than 6.5 billion VND from the city budget to create a 7m-wide beach walkway on the northern side of the Song - Danang Beach Villas project in Ngu Hanh Son District’s Khue My Ward.

A 7m-wide walkway will be created to the south of the Hoang Dat Silver Shores Exceptional International Entertainment project in Khue My Ward. Covering an area of 1,911m2, the whole project will feature a 430m2 parking space for motorbikes and bicycles and 1,480m2 green area.

These footpath projects aim to create airy space connecting the beach with nearby residential areas, as well as to promote public beach use for the general public, and enhance the beauty of urban landscapes.
