Non-stop Da Nang-Doha service expected to attract more visitors
A press conference took place on Thursday to highlight the importance of the new non-stop route connecting Da Nang with Qatar’s Doha, especially benefits it bring to the Vietnamese city.
Flights on this new route depart on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Da Nang, and on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Doha, according to Qatar Airways.
The new service operates with a Boeing B787 aircraft, featuring 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.
Da Nang is the third Vietnamese destination on the award-winning airline’s rapidly expanding global network after Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City. This is also the only direct flight from Central Viet Nam to Qatar, and the Middle East region as a whole.
A representative from Qatar Airways highlighted the significance of opening the new service in helping Da Nang connecting with 150 business and leisure destinations in the Middle East, Western Europe and North America.
Qatar Airways is willing to continue to advertise Da Nang’s image to its passengers, and to offer more daily flights connecting with this city as well.
For his part, Vice Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh also expressed his hope that the new service will help Da Nang attract even more tourists and investors from destinations in Qatar’ airline network, hereby boosting trade links between Vietnamese and international businesses.
