From his perspectives as an economic researcher, Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Binh, a lecturer at the city’s University of Economics said, in the current context of the country’s growing global integration, local enterprises should place their focus on developing high quality human resources with high level of professionalism.

Besides, local government agencies should continue to accelerate administrative reforms in the direction of modernisation, and to ensure exceptionally professional attitude and service.

Mr Le Thanh Ha, the Director of the municipal Industry and Trade Promotion Centre promised that his unit will pay special heed to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of trade promotion programmes and brand development projects for locally-made industrial  products and handicrafts, and promoting e-commerce strategies.

More active support will be given to local enterprises to accelerate the efficiency of export activities to foreign consumer markets which have already entered into bilateral and multilateral commitments with Viet Nam.

Also, international and regional provisions and conventions which Viet Nam has signed and relevant legal policies will be introduced to businesses.

In his point of view, Mr Pham Thanh Hung, the Deputy Chairman of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs' Association, pointed out to the fact that, in the current of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 strongly thriving in all aspects of life, exporters, and businesses at large, it is high for them to make strong reform strategies, with a focus expanding their consumer markets, promoting their brand names and increasing automation in production.

Mr Hung also underlined a must-do for local large exporters, to open their representative offices abroad, and buy the legal right to offer goods processing services for big brands worldwide.

In addition, 2019 is considered to be the year of the boom in the retail market, with the penetration of many world-renowned retailers into Viet Nam to grab more market share here. Therefore, domestic enterprises, especially large ones should further enhance product quality to gain a firm foothold right in the home market.

According to Mr Phan Van Kha, the Director of Department of Industry and Trade, his unit will give the priority to promoting export support services offered by organisations and State agencies, strengthening trade promotion in potential foreign markets, and boosting administrative reforms for the sake of local businesses.

Furthermore, effective measures will be taken to boost the export of high-value commodities, including textiles and garments, aquatic products, rubber products, engines and electric and electronic components.

The municipal Department of Industry and Trade has also asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to work out measures to enhance the effectiveness of information exchange and support activities between the national government trade promotion agencies and Vietnamese trade counselors abroad, and relevant agencies and enterprises in

Da Nang, hereby creating favorable conditions for the establishment and operation of export support institutions (TSIs).
