During his inspection visit to the Hoa Trung water storage reservoir in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Lien Commune on Wednesday afternoon, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Van Quang praised local relevant agencies for their efforts in managing and ensuring effective and safe operation of this artificial lake over recent years.

Mr Quang also highlighted the importance of the Hoa Trung reservoir in delivering adequate water supply to nearby residents, and ensuring a secure supply of water for the future for the whole city.

Deputy Secretary Quang also underscored the necessity of upgrading the city’s canal system in a bid to ensure the delivery of adequate water for irrigation.

Mr Quang asked the Hoa Vang District authorities not to organise tourism activities on the surface of the Hoa Trung reservoir to ensure safety for it.

He also urged relevant agencies to take actions to improve this artificial lake in order to secure water supplies for today's and tomorrow's residents in the city.

Also on the same day, Deputy Secretary Quang paid an inspection visit to the Hoa Trung Water Supply Plant.

Mr Quang asked the Da Nang Water Supply JSC (DAWACO) to carry out the 2^nd stage of the Hoa Trung Water Supply Plant with a daily capacity of 10,000m³ of water as soon as possible in an effort to ensure the delivery of an adequate supply of water in the city in the years ahead, especially in the summer season.
