Ubisoft opens new office in Da Nang
Ubisoft Entertainment SA, a French video game company headquartered in Montreuil, one of the world’s four leading video game makers, has officially opened its studio in Da Nang.
Located at 205 Tran Phu in Hai Chau District, the Ubisoft studio now has 40 employees. It plans to recruit 100 new employees by late 2020, and to introduce its first game products in early 2021.
A spokesperson for the Da Nang Investment Promotion and Support Board highlighted the importance of the Ubisoft Da Nang studio to open up more cooperation opportunities for businesses in Da Nang and French in the future.
Explaining why it selected Da Nang, Studio Manager of Ubisoft Da Nang Aurelien Palasse said Da Nang is dubbed a hotbed for tech and culture development. The city is considered as one of the best cities to live in Asia, and it is famous for its beautiful beaches, great weather, and friendly people.
Aurelien Palasse also said, the Ubisoft Da Nang studio will focus on creating original mobile games and instant games using HTML 5. Once in full capacity, and it will have around 100 talents working on three unannounced projects at the same time.
