ARA Asset Management-backed logistics real estate group LOGOS, headquartered in Australia’s Sydney, has established its first venture with a global institutional investor in Viet Nam, called Logos Vietnam Logistics Venture.

The Logos Vietnam Logistics Venture is the fourth venture set up by LOGOS so far this year with the aim of raising over US$1 billion to penetrate into Vietnamese and South Korean markets.

Through this newly-established venture, LOGOS and its investment partners plan to pour US$ 350 million into logistics real estate segment in such Viet Nam’s big cities as Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Ha Noi.

Logos Group praised Da Nang for its great potential for the development of logistics real estate projects, including the Lien Chieu Port Project which will serve as a regional-level logistics centre in the future.

After being officially launched, the Logos Vietnam Logistics Venture will implement strategic merger and acquisition (M&A) deals. It also targets to provide build-to-suit logistics facilities for its customers in key logistics locations over the next 12 to 18 months.

LOGOS’ Managing Director and Co-CEO, Trent Iliffe, said “Our move into Viet Nam is an important step in our regional growth strategy driven by customers’ needs. We are pleased to be partnering with a leading global institutional investor as part of this move”.

“Being able to establish this new venture amid Covid-19 crisis is testament to Viet Nam’s exciting growth story, which is driven by the global trade wars, decentralisation of supply chains and a natural evolution of this market, and LOGOS’ proven track record across Southeast Asia,” Mr Trent Iliffe said.

LOGOS is a dynamic specialist in developing property solutions for customers in the logistics sector. It has a total of 100 logistics real estates in nine countries in the Asia-Pacific region with the total assets under management of approximately 9.5 billion USD.
