In light of the coronavirus pandemic-triggered challenges facing Da Nang’s tourism industry, some of the city’s travel agencies have taken the much-hailed initiative to develop new highly attractive tourism products in a bid to tempt back visitors with the hope of driving post-pandemic tourism recovery in Da Nang in the new normal.

Most recently, the Danasea Tourism JSC has launched the ‘Da Nang Thank You’ tour for tourists to Da Nang.
By joining the free tour, tourists have the chance to admire the charm of such top attractions in Da Nang as Linh Ung Pagoda, Son Tra Peninsula, Bridge of Love, Rong (Dragon) Bridge, and Marble Mountains Tourist Area.
Ms Le Thi Hong Suong, General Director of the Danasea Tourism JSC, remarked the free tour, which runs until 28 April, is considered to be a tribute gift exclusively for visitors near and far.
She added, her company has always selected highly skilled and experienced tour guides to best serve tourists. These tour guides would represent the company to thank tour bookers for still choosing Da Nang as a destination for their tour itinerary.
With a high desire to make a real difference for tourists, from mid-2020, the Viet Pilgrim Travel Company has created specialised tourism product packages. Most prominent amongst them are ‘Beloved Lien Chieu District’, ‘Ao Dai’, ‘Da Nang - My Beloved City’, ‘Back to Childhood’, and ‘Son Tra is Calling You’, all of which are offered at very preferential prices.
Director of the Viet Pilgrim Travel Company Tran My Quyen highlighted the significance of the development of new and unique tourism products in bringing visitors fresh and unique experience.
She added all most of her company’s freshly-launched tourism products were designed for individual travellers, especially those who want to explore separate parts of Da Nang.

As for the ‘Son Tra is Calling You’ tour, tour bookers will visit the East Sea Park, the Dong Dinh Museum, the Linh Ung Pagoda, the Hoang Sa Exhibition House, and a temple to worship the founders of the An Hai Village, and the late Vietnamese General Nguyen Van Thoai, also known as Thoai Ngoc Hau.
Also, they will be introduced to the process of cultivating spirulina and producing nutritional spirulina cakes. A free lunch is also included in this tour.
A spokesperson for the municipal Department of Tourism said the launch of new tourism products by tour operators shows their high sense of responsibilities for the general development of the city's smokeless industry.
In the coming time, Da Nang will focus on conducting tourism marketing campaigns at domestic tourist markets, as well as developing tourism products associated with night-time economy.
Besides, the coming months will see attractive new tourism products to be developed in Da Nang such as the Bach Dang - Nguyen Van Troi - Tran Hung Dao pedestrian promenade project, and the ‘new coat’ for the An Thuong tourist quarter, nighttime entertainment services along Ngu Hanh Son District-based My An Beach, and ‘Da Nang by Night’-themed entertainment activities across the city.
