The 2021 Da Nang Economic Census is slated to run from 1 March to 25 July, and the preliminary and official survey results are expected to be released in December 2021 and February 2022, respectively.

The upcoming census covers all businesses, state administrative bodies, religious and belief establishments, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across Da Nang.

The census will run from 1 March to 10 May on businesses, from 1 March to 10 April on state administrative bodies and agencies, and from 1 to 25 July on family-run establishments and religious organisations.

The comprehensive economic survey aims to measure the number of Da Nang businesses and their employees, as well as obtain data on their locations, ownership, payroll, performance, access to loans, and the application of information technology, besides calculating the specialised statistics targets, gross domestic product and updating business data.

The census aims to serve the assessment of the city’s socio-economic development, thus helping the municipal administration make development plans and policies.

All survey contents are designed in Web-forms and computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI).
