A trade fair for agricultural products and food on the theme of ‘Connecting demand and supply – Promoting the development of the One Commune-One Product (OCOP)”, took place in Hoa Vang District, Da Nang from April 27 -28.

Co-hosted by the Hoa Vang District authorities and the Da Nang Farmers’ Association, the two-day event is one of Da Nang’s activities to support the “Vietnamese People Give Priority to Using Vietnamese Goods” campaign, and the city’s Action Month for Food Safety.

The fair hosted 25 trade stands from businesses, cooperatives and farm households across Da Nang and some localities nationwide, such as Quang Nam and Quang Ngai. 

On display at the fair were hi-tech agricultural products, processed foods, handicrafts, medicinal herbs, seeds and plants, and more.

In addition, the fair also featured a dedicated booth to introduce the city’s OCOP products.

Within the framework of the fair,  there were an array of interesting cultural events, including  a singing contest themed "The voices of farmers", and folk games.

The fair provided an opportunity for local farmers and members of the Da Nang Farmers’ Association to promote their products and local key agricultural products in a bid to expand their consumer markets, hereby driving their innovations and improving the quality of agricultural products in order to better serve local customers and contribute to further development of Da Nang tourism industry.
