The Directorate for Roads of Viet Nam has just asked provinces and cities that are implementing social distancing measures according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister to continue the extension of QR Code identification certificates for vehicles transporting goods serving construction, production, business, import and export and consumption for their priority travel through the ‘green lane’ designated in these localities.

In a case under which a vehicle transporting goods has been issued with QR Code identification certificates but there is a need to change is driver or operating route, it must be re-registered on the software system, to be granted with a new certificate.

In the course of transportation,  transport service providers and those onboard the priority vehicles that have been issued with QR Code identification certificates must seriously comply with the registered commitments, ensuring that they possess valid certificates of negative test results for COVID-19, and make medical declarations as mandated and adhere to safety measures against the virus under the guidance of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.

‘Green lane’ vehicles receive QR codes, allowing them to be prioritised to pass through COVID-19 prevention checkpoints without lengthy waits. This priority aims to facilitate the smooth circulation of necessities throughout the nation in light of the complicated developments of the current coronavirus wave.
