The organisation of the ‘Business Dialogue’ at this time shows a fact that the city is preparing step by step for the soon resumption of socio-economic development activities in the time ahead.

It can be said that the city’s tough fight against COVID-19 following the recent implementation of social distancing gained encouraging results.

During the Dialogue, the city’s leaders listened to what COVID-19-triggered difficulties the business community have faced over recent times, an active move to better prepare for socio-economic recovery in the new situation, in tandem with proactive responding to worse situations in the future if any.

Up to this point, the number of Da Nang recipients of the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines has been quite high. It is a need to give priority to administering the second dose to the workforce of enterprises and family-run establishments for the sake of safe production.

Currently, the cost of COVID-19 testing of enterprises is still very high with VND170,000 -VND180,000/ rapid antigen test and VND700,000 - VND800.000/PCR test. The local authorities, therefore, should give support in terms of COVID-19 test charges, for businesses’ staff.

Currently, the city is mulling over the setting up of mobile medical stations in business communities or residential areas to quickly handle any coronavirus outbreak.

He believed that, with the initial encouraging results from the current pandemic prevention and control work, the local government would take proper measures to attract more potential investors in parallel with maintaining support for the existing ones in a bid to bring the city's economic activities to a new normal and record further growth in the coming time.
