Many stationery, electrical equipment stores, vehicle repair shops in Da Nang resume operations

Following the fresh approval by the Da Nang administration, many stationery shops, vehicle repair facilities and stores selling household electrical appliances and water supply-related equipment began to re-operate on Monday despite a decline in the number of customers amid the COVID-19 wave.

As reported on Monday morning, the owners of many stationery shops, vehicle repair facilities and stores selling household electrical appliances and water supply-related equipment located on downtown streets such as like Phan Chau Trinh, Hoang Dieu and Ngo Gia Tu in Hai Chau District and Ngo Quyen in Son Tra District were all excited to be back to work after a long hiatus triggered by the practice of the heightened COVID-19 prevention curbs.

All stores were seen strictly complying with the mandatory safety measures against COVID-19, especially the 5K rules highly recommended by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.

From 9:00 am until noon, the Tien Thu Motorcycle Parts Replacement and Warranty Centre at 179-181 Phan Chau Trinh Street welcomed about 10 customers for motorbike maintenance and repair services. More than 10 employees at the centre quickly came back to work after many days of the site closure.

In addition to operating on-campus motorbike maintenance and repair, the centre also provides home repair services. As reported, more than 15 customers registered for home repair services on Monday morning.

Mr. Le Van Trong, the centre’s manager, said that the service charges are quite stable, averaging from 350,000 to 400,000 VND/repair session for batteries and oil replacement.

In addition to staff members working directly at the centre, there are 3-4 employees specializing in receiving home repair registrations from rư customers. In partocular, the centre will deploy  a specialised vehicle to customers’ houses to transport the seriously damaged motorbikes  to the centere for repair

Meanwhile, at the Tuan Thuong shop, which sells mechanical supplies, electrical equipment and water supply items, at 108 Ngo Gia Tu, Hai Chau District received some online orders on Monday morning with free-of-charge home delivery.

The Ngoc An stationery store at 131 Le Loi, Hai Chau District, specialising in providing stationery items to offices, agencies and hospitals citywide has resumed its operation after many days of closure. 

However, this store is facing some difficulties in conducting the delivery of goods to customers due to a shortage of employees for the time being.  Only 10 out of the total 70 employees are permitted to be stay at work as per request by the municipal administration amid the complicated developments of the coronavirus resurgence.
