Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son has recently urged the Hoa Vang District authorities to coordinate with the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to take drastic and effective measures to soon control and eradicate African swine fever (ASF).

The move comes after a fresh wave of swine fever in Hoa Vang District, causing significant losses in the locality's hog herds.

Specifically, the district authorities and the department have been tasked to ensure timely reporting of disease outbreaks, assess risks and put forward control policies. Importance will be attached to providing adequate and timely support for livestock households directly affected by the disease as prescribed.

The Hoa Vang District authorities can report difficulties and challenges arising during the implementation work to the municipal People’s Committee for consideration and handling.
