The Da Nang government has approved a master plan for boosting the city’s economic diplomacy during the 2021-2025 period, aimed at driving the city’s development and construction in the spirit of Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW regarding the local progress by 2030 with a vision toward 2045.

Under the master plan, a number of solutions to promote and improve the efficiency of economic diplomacy in the city have been identified.

Specially, the implementation of strategic orientations for boosting the city’s international integration and economic diplomacy will be promoted.

The importance will be attached to promoting bilateral and multilateral international cooperation, as well as improving the efficiency of promotion activities in such aspects as investment, trade, finance, tourism, hi-tech industry, science - technology, innovation, education, healthcare and environment.

Also, heed will be paid to making appeals for more investment from overseas Vietnamese, and expats  and foreign-invested enterprises in Da Nang, as well as optimising the support of Vietnamese ministries and national government agencies.

A strong network of representative offices of Vietnamese diplomatic agencies overseas, and those of foreign diplomatic agencies in Viet Nam, should be built.

As part of the master plan set for the 2021 - 2025 period, Da Nang will focus on expanding its overseas tourist markets into North East Asia and attracting more tourists from Australia, India, Russia, along with European and Middle Eastern countries, apart from maintaining and developing such its traditional tourist markets as Southeast Asia, Western Europe, and North America.

Last, but not least, special attention will be paid to promoting overland tourism with localities with international border gates of Laos, Thailand and Cambodia.
