In his speech delivered at the groundbreaking ceremony for the project, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son highly praised the Fujikin Da Nang company for its great efforts in speeding up the completion of investment preparation procedures to start construction work amid the complicated developments of COVID-19 pandemic.

He expressed his belief that the project, boasting a highly financial capacity and potential, and available prestige of investors, would be put into operation as scheduled in 2023, hereby significantly contributing to make the city’s Hi-tech Park more inviting to investors from both home and abroad.

Vice Chairman Son took the opportunity to ask the Authority of Da Nang's Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones to create the most preferential possible conditions for the project’s developers to ensure their on-schedule implementation.

Vice Chairman Son highlighted the significance of this large project to boost innovative startups and investment promotion activities, and human resource development, at the Hi-tech Park, thereby creating a driving force for the city’s rapid and sustainable development.

“Da Nang always highly acknowledges the sincere contributions made by both domestic and foreign businesses to the city’s growth over recent years. Most notably, the business community has been promoting production and business activities as well as joining forces with the municipal government in the fight against the pandemic in the past times” noted Mr Son.

The US$ 35 million project was granted an investment registration certificate on February 5, 2021.

Invested by the Japan-based Fujikin International Co., Ltd, the new facility, which will be the first of its kind in Viet Nam, will produce air valves using semi-conductor production lines, artificial intelligence (AI) robots, new generation medical equipment, and hydrogen energy technology. Also, the soon-to-be developed centre will conduct research activities in the aspects of information technology, medical devices, testing samples and unmanned equipment for commercial purposes.
