Hai Chau District administration tasked with operating expanded APEC Park
According to an official dispatch recently released by the Da Nang People's Committee, Hai Chau District People's Committee is assigned to manage and operate the expanded APEC Park project once it is put into use.
An overview of the expanded APEC Park |
The over VND759 billion, 8,668m2 expanded area is bounded by Bach Dang Street to the east, 2 September Street to the west, Binh Minh 4 Street to the south, and the existing APEC Park to the north.
Located in Binh Hien Ward, Hai Chau District, the new development comprises a public park, a stroll garden associated with an existing sculpture garden, a main stage, a water fountain, a stage for organising cultural events, a playground for children, greenery areas, a parking area, and underground public toilets.
The expanded APEC Park project, invested by the Da Nang Infrastructure Construction and Urban Development Project Management Board, is nearing completion.
The handover of the entire APEC Park to the Hai Chau District People's Committee aims to unify the focal point in the management, operation and exploitation of this project, with a connection with a route dedicated for pedestrians and bicycle riders stretching along the Rong (Dragon) Bridge - Bach Dang Street- Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, thereby ensuring social order for all attractions in the area.
Once completed, the expansion is expected to turn this special park into a new must-visit attraction, featuring special cultural characteristics of Da Nang, for any visitors arriving in Da Nang.
Work started on this project on October 15, 2020, and it is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 10, 2022.
