The Da Nang People's Committee has submitted a report to the municipal Council for the approval of the building of a coastal road connecting the soon-to-be-constructed Lien Chieu Port with National Highway 1A (a bypass route to south of the Hai Van Tunnel).

As proposed, the Da Nang Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board is the project’s investor and operator.

The would-be route has a length of 2.59km, a width of 30m wide and 6 lanes, covering a 23.5ha of land.

The project is expected to cost VND1,203 billion, about VND700 billion will be from the municipal budget and the rest will be funded by the national budget.

The project is slated to be implemented over the 2022-2025 period.
