The FPT Da Nang Urban JSC, on Tuesday, formally started construction works on an infrastructure complex in the FPT Urban Area in Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang.

The complex featured the FPT Complex at the 3^rd phase, the FPT University at the 2^nd phase, the IT Data Centre, the Central Park and the FPT Plaza 3 apartment building, with a total investment of VND2,660 billion.

In his speech delivered at the groundbreaking ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh affirmed that with the huge investment from the FPT Corporation, the FPT Urban Area is expected to be a high-class technology urban area in Da Nang, and it will have significant influence in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands in the future.

Mr. Minh pledged that the municipal government would always create the most favourable conditions for the aforementioned projects to be completed soon. This will bring benefits to investors, create job opportunities and income for locals, and drive the city's economic development, thereby contributing to developing Da Nang into one of major socio-economic hubs, and startup, innovation and IT hubs for Central Viet Nam and the country.

Vice Chairman Minh also expressed his wish that the FPT Corporation would continue pouring more money into the city in such aspects as IT, digital transformation, and education and training.

He informed that the municipal People’s Committee would continue to accompany and support the investor during the implementation of the projects. Top priority would be given to creating favourable conditions for mechanisms and policies, and simplifying administrative procedures for city-based enterprises or new domestic and foreign investors who show their keen interest in investing into Da Nang.

The FPT Corporation has identified Da Nang as a key base for promoting the development of urban infrastructure and information technology (IT) projects, including the FPT Complex. Therefore, the FPT Corporation has decided to implement the FPT Complex project at the 3^rd phase.

The construction work will be completed within 24 months. Once fully completed, the project is expected to create jobs for 10,000 IT engineers, 5,000 of whom are working at the FPT Complex.

Meanwhile, upon completion of the 2^nd stage, the FPT University will enroll 5,000 students and 5,000 inter-level high school pupils.

The IT Data Centre will have a total investment of VND500 billion.

Covering an area of 3ha, the Central Park will be built at a total cost of VND100 billion.

The VND1,100 billion FPT Plaza 3 apartment building will feature a combined total of 863 apartments.

“The FPT Da Nang Urban JSC is committed to completing the abovementioned construction works within 18 to 24 months since commencement date. These projects promise to contribute to promoting the development of the city’s urban and social infrastructure as well as driving its economic growth" said General Director of the FPT Da Nang Urban JSC Le Van Loc.
