According to the latest report on Da Nang’s socio-economic performance in May published by the municipal People's Committee, Da Nang exports enjoyed an impressive growth rate of 34.4% over the same period last year.

The value of exports from Da Nang amounted to an estimated USD 195 million, an increase of 34.4% compared with the same period a year earlier, bringing the total value to an estimated USD 858.8 million in the first 5 months of 2022, up 28.2%.

During the five-month period, textiles and garments contributed an estimated USD 224 million to the Da Nang economy, up 23.1% , seafoods with an estimated USD 99.8 million, up 23.2%, handicrafts and wood products with an estimated USD 9.9 million, up 23.8%, children's toys with an estimated USD 42.3 million, up 24%, finished rubber products with an estimated USD 46.8 million, up 24.8%, motors, electrical equipment and electronic products with an estimated USD280 million, up 25.5%.

In May, Da Nang imports were worth an estimated USD 130 million, up 6% over the same period in 2021, bringing the total value to an estimated USD 575 million in the first 5 months of 2022, up 5%.
