Gasoline prices hit another record high
The retail price of oil and petrol continued to rise from June 1 following the latest adjustment by the ministries of Industry and Trade, and Finance.
Accordingly, from 3:00pm, the price of E5 RON 92 was raised by VND600 to VND 30,230/litre, while that of RON 95 rose to a fresh record of VND31,570/ litre, up VND920.
Notably, the price of oil products was also adjusted to increase significantly.
Particularly, the selling price of diesel oil was VND26,390/litre, kerosene VND25,340/kg, and Mazut fuel oil VND20,900/kg.
Petrol price has been adjusted up five consecutive times. Since the beginning of the year, the retail price of petrol has been adjusted up eleven times and down only three times.
In this adjustment, the ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance decided to set up the Fuel Price Stabilisation Fund for gasoline at VND100-500/liter, and for oil at VND100-300/liter/kg.
Previously, at the adjustment made on May 23, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND680/litre to VND29,630, whilst that of RON 95 gasoline rose by VND670/litre to VND30,650/litre.
