Number of businesses in Da Nang resume operations increases by 48.2% in first half of 2022
In the first six months of 2022, Da Nang’s socio-economic situation prospered in many spheres, according to the municipal Department of Industry and Trade.
The city’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to go up by 7.23% over the same period last year.
Notably, the number of firms resuming operations during that period increased by 48.2% compared with the same period in 2021.
Specifically, in June alone, the city had a total of 477 newly established businesses, branches and representative offices with a total registered capital of more than VND1,500 billion. The figures represented a rise of 25% in the number of newly-established firms and in the total registered investment capital respectively when compared with the same period last year.
Last month, a total of 458 businesses temporarily suspended operations, 64 ones got dissolved, and 124 temporarily suspended enterprises resumed operations.
As accumulated in the first 6 months of 2022, Da Nang had 2,257 newly registered enterprises with a total investment of more than VND13,000 billion, up 7% in the number of enterprises and 4.5% in the total registered investment capital.
During the first half of the year, a sum of 2,467 enterprises facing difficulties in production and business halted their operations, up 36.6%. The number of dissolved businesses declined by 24% over the same period last year to reach 312.
